Keramas Beach is the best Surfing spots in Bali with great and powerful waves, it is located in east side of Bali island. It is beautiful sunrise beach with black sandy beach and beautiful panorama to the ocean.
The trip can be taken from Sanur and Kuta through then through along the east coast in the Road By-Pass Ida Bagus Mantra is the fastest way if you pass the first traffic light, takes about 45 minutes drove past many shops and restaurants, then passes green rice fields and coconut trees lining the coast to the small sign directing you to exit from the main road and take a small dirt road to the going there
During the dry season (June to October) onshore wind will usually come in between the hours of 10 or 11, so you have to get there early, but if the waves are good enough, then you will still be able to surf until late afternoon. From November to May (rainy season) will be colored turbid sea water because the flow of the river that leads directly to the beach, but the waves are still good and the wind is not too strong, the wind blowing from the northwest instead of east or west.
Taking the comparison with such famous Uluwatu surf break that first became known in the 70s, Keramas is a newborn. Most of the local and international professional surfers who come to shampooing to surf is starting in 2000.
The funny thing about the origin of the name Keramas (shampoo), itself is a word in Indonesian. But the original name of this area is Keramas, derived from a combination of the word "turtle" which means turtle and "mas" meaning "gold", for some time past the turtles will come to bury their eggs in the black sand warm. Later the name was changed into a Keramas, gold monkey (from "monkey" which means "monkey" and "mas" still means gold), but where these monkeys went remains a mystery. http://www.balisurfadvisor.com/
