Uluwatu beach is a hidden gem, which is famous among surfers because has great and powerful waves and amazing sunset views. To get to the beach, you have to go down the steep stone steps. This beach is located at the bottom of the cliff, on which stand Uluwatu Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temple in Bali.

Bring your board to the ocean and spur up your adrenaline with perfect waves driven by winds southeast. While gliding, admire the temple on a cliff top, see a turtle crossing or chill out on the board in the peace of this beautiful environment.

Even though you're not a surfer, you can enjoy cliff-top scenery and stunning sunsets, and visit Uluwatu Temple. This temple was built in the 10th century and is one of the celestial universe temple in Bali. Pura celestial universe is a temple which, according to Hindu teachings, protect Bali from evil spirits.

After exploring, enjoy a meal at one of the stalls at the top of the hill. Relax to the accompaniment of the sound of the waves breaking below and enjoy the cool evening breeze.

The beach is small and not as easy lure other beaches in southern Bali to reach. Because the waves are very strong, swimming is not recommended and surfing is only recommended for experienced surfers. For calmer waters with easy access, come to the beaches at Padang and Bingin. Other famous surf beaches in this area include Impossible Beach, Dreamland Beach, and Suluban.

Uluwatu Beach is located near the village of Pecatu, South Kuta area, 35 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai Airport. There are many accommodation options here. The beach also provides a parking area and a bath. Although it is advisable to bring your own equipment, there is a shop at the top of the hill where you can choose surfboard and supplies. http://www.balisurfadvisor.com/
